I want to tell you four things of which I am absolutely certain.

First, that God lives and that He is our Father. This includes everyone who has lived, who currently lives, or who will ever live on the earth. We are all part of God's family. He loves each of us very much and wants each of us to come back home to Him. He sent His Firstborn Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save us from our sins and make it possible for us to come back home.

Second, that Jesus Christ is our Savior. When He sacrificed His life for us, He took upon Himself all of our sins, weaknesses, illnesses, pains, worries, and every other thing we suffer in life. Because of this, He can make us clean and give us strength and relief. If each of us will enter into a covenant with Him, by one of His authorized servants, and keep that covenant, He will heal us and take us back to our Heavenly Father.

Third, that the church that holds the authority to allow people to enter into this covenant is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka the Mormon Church or the LDS Church). It is the same church that Jesus organized when He was on the earth and it has been restored in our time period through the Prophet Joseph Smith.

Fourth, that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. God and Jesus Christ appeared to him in the spring of 1820 in the state of New York. The Lord Jesus Christ commanded Joseph Smith to restore His church and to call it the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our Savior gave Joseph the authority to organize His church again upon the earth and Joseph obeyed. Now, the Church of Jesus Christ is back on the earth.

I say all these things in humility because they are bold declarations. Yet, they are true.

I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to know these things. I wish everyone was a member of this church. But I, along with every other member of this church, believe that everyone is free to worship God "according to the dictates of [their] own conscience" (Articles of Faith, 11, http://scriptures.lds.org/en/a_of_f/1).

Having said that, I invite you to learn about the Savior and His Church. If you are interested, you can contact missionaries from the Church and have them present to you the gospel message. They can answer any questions you have about the gospel of Jesus Christ or His Church. Here is the link: http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/ask-a-question/have-missionaries-contact-me.
